Controversial street-pop singer Portable has revealed that he received N40 million for agreeing to participate in a proposed celebrity boxing match with popular content creator Carter Efe.
Portable disclosed this in a video shared on his Instagram page, where he confirmed his readiness to face Carter Efe in the much-talked-about fight.
According to the singer, the N40 million payment was made by the organisers simply for accepting the challenge. He also expressed confidence that he would emerge victorious in the bout.
“I have received N40 million from the organisers. They paid me the money just for accepting to fight Carter Efe. I’m very sure that I will defeat him,” he said.
Portable further stated that music executive Soso Soberekon and businessman E-Money have each promised to reward him with N50 million and a car if he defeats Carter Efe in the ring.
The proposed fight gained attention after Soberekon reportedly offered a N50 million prize to the eventual winner.
Carter Efe has also confirmed his readiness for the match and has urged the organisers to fix a date for the event.
The planned celebrity boxing contest has since generated excitement among fans on social media, with many eagerly awaiting further details about the bout.
