Rexxie Claims Seyi Vibes’ Rise Was Orchestrated, Alleges Failed Attempt to Spark Beef With Asake

Popular Nigerian record producer and singer, Rexxie, has stirred fresh controversy in the music industry after alleging that the meteoric rise of street-pop sensation Seyi Vibes was not entirely organic, but rather the result of a carefully planned strategy.

Rexxie made the claims during a recent TikTok livestream, where he described Seyi Vibes as an “industry plant” and suggested that his emergence into the mainstream music scene was the product of deliberate orchestration by individuals working behind the scenes. While acknowledging that talent and divine favor may have played a role, Rexxie insisted that the singer’s success was largely structured and strategically executed.

According to the him, Seyi Vibes’ breakthrough did not happen by chance. He claimed that the singer’s team meticulously planned his rise, positioning him for visibility and relevance within the highly competitive Nigerian music industry.

“Seyi Vibes’ blow was an orchestration and a bit of divine arrangement,” Rexxie said. “It was orchestrated in the sense that the people behind him planned it very well. Let’s not deceive ourselves it was properly planned.”

Rexxie further alleged that as part of efforts to boost Seyi Vibes’ profile, his camp attempted to manufacture a public rivalry with award-winning singer Asake, hoping to generate buzz and media attention. However, according to him, the plan failed after Asake allegedly refused to engage.

“Seyi Vibes and his team even tried to force a beef with Asake, but they got snubbed,” Rexxie claimed, adding that he chose not to disclose further details surrounding the incident.

The producer’s comments have since sparked widespread reactions online, with fans and industry observers debating the role of strategic marketing, industry backing, and talent in an artist’s rise to fame.

As of the time of this report, Seyi Vibes has not publicly responded to Rexxie’s allegations.
