Nigerian music star Ayodeji Balogun, popularly known as Wizkid, has finally reacted to criticisms from Grammy-nominated singer Seun Kuti, ending days of online backlash and speculation.
NaijaTimes247 recalls that Seun Kuti, son of late Afrobeat legend Fela Anikulapo-Kuti, had repeatedly criticised Wizkid and his fan base during several recent livestreams, taking shots at the singer on multiple occasions.
Breaking his silence, Wizkid responded via his Instagram and X (formerly Twitter) accounts with strongly worded messages directed at Seun Kuti.
On his Instagram story, the award-winning artiste wrote in Pidgin English:
“I big pass your papa!! Wetin you don do? I’m Big Wiz everyday.”
He followed up on X with a more scathing remark, stating:
“Ok everybody better pass Wizkid! Can we all sleep now? Fela fight for freedom, this fool dey fight FC! Oloshi Omo ale!”
Wizkid’s response has since gone viral, sparking intense reactions online, with fans of both artistes engaging in heated debates across social media platforms.
As of the time of filing this report, Seun Kuti has yet to publicly respond to Wizkid’s comments.
