Tinubu–Adelabu 2027 Posters Storm Ibadan, Fuel Political Speculation

Posters bearing the images of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Minister of Power, Adebayo Adelabu, with inscriptions projecting Tinubu for President of Nigeria and Adelabu for Governor of Oyo State in 2027 have surfaced in several strategic locations across Ibadan, the state capital.

The posters were sighted in major parts of the city, including busy roads, junctions and other public spaces, drawing the attention of residents and commuters. They are branded as being powered by the Oyo State Voluntary Campaigners (OSVC).

The appearance of the posters has sparked widespread speculation and debate, with many residents offering differing interpretations of the political message and its implications ahead of the 2027 general elections.

While some residents described the posters as an early sign of political mobilisation, others dismissed them as the actions of enthusiastic supporters attempting to shape political conversations ahead of time.

Efforts to reach officials of the Oyo State Voluntary Campaigners for comments were unsuccessful.

Political analysts note that although the posters do not amount to a formal declaration or campaign, their emergence reflects increasing political activities and alignments as discussions around the 2027 elections gradually gain momentum.
