Kendrick Lamar Leads 2026 Grammy Nominations with Nine Nods


Rapper Kendrick Lamar has emerged as the most-nominated artist ahead of the 68th Annual Grammy Awards, scheduled to hold on Sunday in Los Angeles. The multiple Grammy winner secured nine nominations, reaffirming his dominance across major music categories.

Trailing closely behind Lamar is pop icon Lady Gaga with seven nominations, while Bad Bunny, pop star Sabrina Carpenter, and R&B singer-songwriter Leon Thomas earned six nominations each, highlighting a competitive year across genres.

In the prestigious Album of the Year category, nominees include Debí Tirar Más Fotos by Bad Bunny, Swag by Justin Bieber, Man’s Best Friend by Sabrina Carpenter, Let God Sort Em Out by Clipse, Mayhem by Lady Gaga, GNX by Kendrick Lamar, Mutt by Leon Thomas, and Chromakopia by Tyler, The Creator.

The Record of the Year race features DtMF by Bad Bunny, Manchild by Sabrina Carpenter, Anxiety by Doechii, Wildflower by Billie Eilish, Abracadabra by Lady Gaga, luther by Kendrick Lamar featuring SZA, The Subway by Chappell Roan, and APT. by Rose and Bruno Mars.

Similarly, nominees for Song of the Year include Abracadabra by Lady Gaga, Anxiety by Doechii, APT. by Rose and Bruno Mars, DtMF by Bad Bunny, Golden from KPop Demon Hunters by HUNTR/X, luther by Kendrick Lamar with SZA, Manchild by Sabrina Carpenter, and Wildflower by Billie Eilish.

The Best New Artist category showcases a diverse lineup featuring Olivia Dean, KATSEYE, The Marías, Addison Rae, sombr, Leon Thomas, Alex Warren, and Lola Young.

In the pop categories, nominees include Justin Bieber (Daisies), Sabrina Carpenter (Manchild), Lady Gaga (Disease), Chappell Roan (The Subway), and Lola Young (Messy). For Best Pop Duo/Group Performance, contenders include Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande, HUNTR/X, KATSEYE, Rose and Bruno Mars, and SZA with Kendrick Lamar.

Rap categories were equally competitive, with Best Rap Album nominations going to Clipse, GloRilla, JID, Kendrick Lamar, and Tyler, The Creator. Meanwhile, Best Rap Performance nominees include Cardi B, Clipse featuring Kendrick Lamar and Pharrell Williams, Doechii, Kendrick Lamar featuring Lefty Gunplay, and Tyler, The Creator featuring Teezo Touchdown.

In the global and visual music categories, Sabrina Carpenter, Clipse, Doechii, OK Go, and Sade were nominated for Best Music Video, while Burna Boy, Youssou N’Dour, Shakti, Anoushka Shankar, Siddhant Bhatia, and Brazilian legends Caetano Veloso and Maria Bethânia earned nominations for Best Global Music Album.
